Raun MacKinnon Burnham

Hi. I wanted an internet place to feature the six record albums I have made and published. I am proud of the work on these recordings so I wanted my own promotional website for them. You can locate my stuff on iTunes under the name Raun MacKinnon Burnham. CD Baby now no longer offers a retail service for artists, so I am presently reviewing where I will next place my recordings for download. I may set it up here, but I want to check other services first. I'll post back here when I find something I like. iTunes offers my stuff for download. The album titles are: Archived Sessions; Serenading You From My Bedroom; Earworm; Pocket Mass and Other Faith-Based Music; Five; and Odd Little Concert.
I suppose I could tell you all that I and my recordings are the greatest thing since sliced bread, and that I am a haunted but heartfelt genius. It goes without saying that you don't want to believe everything you read. I can say truthfully, though, that I think my work is worth a listen, and if you like what you hear, it would be great if you put your money where your ears are and buy one or all of the albums. In case you are as broke as a lot of people are right now, you could download just one or any number of songs you like and buy those. I've done five of the albums as download-only, but Pocket Mass"is in both CD and download formats. If you like religious music, you can order the Pocket Mass CD directly from me by sending me an e-mail request to raun.burnham@gmail.com. I'll reply with details.
Odd Little Concert is my latest, released in 2019. I just checked and found it available on iTunes. I hope you like the new work.
For many years I was a singer and songwriter. After a lot of touring, I stopped performing professionally for some neurotic reasons, some merely practical. During my performing years, I sang with or behind a wide range of interesting stars. The list of people I recorded with includes John Prine, Steve Goodman, Michael Johnson, Chubby Checker, Jane Olivor, and one really weird guy named Greensleeves. I shared club bills with Hall & Oates, The Mamas & the Papas, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Jerry Jeff Walker, and many others. I found I couldn't give up writing and composing, so I have continued making songs and compositions while doing day work. These albums represent creative work I did over a time range of more than 35 years. The style differences reflect my taste at the time the material was recorded. Pocket Mass and Other Faith Based Music is the result of a two-year project composing a mass for choir and a few instruments and getting it financed, recorded and released. There is a Pocket Mass video on the video page.
I can be reached as a writer, composer and publisher through ASCAP. The name of the publishing company is Wobba Wobba Music.
There is a blog page which I occasionally update with my trivia of the moment and a place to leave comments.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading and listening.
