YOU PROBABLY DON'T REMEMBER ME, BUT YOU, MY FRIEND, ARE UNFORGETTABLE. THE MANY TIMES YOU PERFORMED AT THE 15 BELOW IN TIMONIUM, MD. WERE SOME OF THE NICEST NIGHTS EVER. THERE ARE QUITE A FEW OF US WHO HAVE REMAINED FRIENDS SINCE THOSE GREAT DAYS IN THE 60'S. WE WERE AT A BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR LIZ ON WEDNESDAY, AND YOUR NAME CAME UP, AS IT USUALLY DOES WHEN WE'RE ALL TOGETHER.
YOU WERE DEFINITELY ONE OF OUR FAVORITES. SOOOO, EVEN THOUGH YOU PROBABLY DON'T REMEMBER MOST (IF ANY) OF US, REGARDS FROM PATCHES AND LIZ, BEV(1ST HOSTESS), MARTY (WAITER), GILES, ESTELLE, LOU & JEANNIE AND MYSELF.ALL REGULAR ATTENDESS OF THE COFFEEHOUSE. WE ALL WISH YOU WELL, AND WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU ONE WAY OR ANOTHER.
LIZ'S EMAIL IS ELICKLE62@COMCAST.NET (I THINK) I'M MARCIA (SHORT, HEAVYSET) STARTED OUT AS AN AVID FAN ON ALL THE NITES YOU APPEARED, LATER, I WOUND UP AS HOSTESS, AND EVENTUALLY MANAGED THE PLACE. FROM YOUR FIRST APPEARANCE TO YOUR LAST, YOU WERE ALWAYS A FAVORITE.
BE WELL AND BE HAPPY. :)
Hi Raun !! I see Marcia got to you pronto ! Patch and I have had in our thoughts thru the years and it was so great of Giles to direct us to you !Glad Marccia sent my email ! Much love from te two of us !! Liz and Patches
Sorry to post this as a comment, but I could not find a way to e-mail you. On your home webpage you mention recording with (Eddie) Greensleeves. E-mail with Dick Weissman (banjo) ndicates he was producer and performer on that, Your CAMEO album and some others for CAMEO PARKWAY.
I have a number of questions about some of the albums on Cameo/Parkway - I hope you may be able to provide some information. Please contact me. THANK YOU! Best wishes, Thomas.
Hey, Raun & Jerry,
Another proverbial blast from your past - wendy, of "wendy&mike". You knew us from the Back Fence Bar, down the street from the Bitter End. You blew my mind then, and still do, now that I have heard - and seen - the " Pinky Rag". I've wondered from time to time where you went, how you were, all that doodaday sort of stuff. You sound as terrific and totally RAUN like as ever, which made me smile.
Retired from performing in 1991, went back to New Paltz.( I got an MFA in painting, transferred my voice to canvas, kinda sorta. Still sing, but only for myself and my critters.) Now living in Vermont.
It is with great joy that I now know where to find more of your music. YAY!
much good to you both, wendy
I used to play at The Back Fence too, and shared the bill with Wendy & Mike and countless others. I have never forgotten one night when Bob Horan (an excellent folk Singer who I appened to see perform at a physical reab facility a few years ago!) invited Raun onstage for a song or two.
